KDP offers a fixed 60 % royalty on paperbacks that are sold on Amazon marketplaces. The royalty is 60% of the list price. They subtract printing costs, which will depend on page count, ink type.
The royalty rates are 35 % and 70 %.
When you select the 35 % royalty option, the royalty will be 35 % of the list price without VAT (Value Added Tax) for each unit sold.
When you select the 70 % royalty option, the royalty will be 70% of the list price without VAT, less delivery cost whereas the average delivery cost is $0.06 units per sold.
To enter into 70 % criteria the book must meet the following requirements:
The author should satisfy the list price requirements.
The list price has to be 20% below the list price for the physical book.
The title should be made available for sale in all geographical locations where the author has rights.
